If life was an emptiness,
and my self a tin bucket,
I would open myself up
and wait for the first raindrops
of thought to fall sweet upon me,
and fill me bit by bit
until the emptiness was gone
and the bucket felt it’s purpose–
overflowed with joy and words again.
On days with no words we sit on the dock and watch the sail boats and let the sunshine burn away what is eating at us. (It burns away much faster with a pitcher of martinis or mojitos.) Little baby hugs and kisses work equally well.

Here’s a poem-thought.
If life was an emptiness,
and my self a tin bucket,
I would open myself up
and wait for the first raindrops
of thought to fall sweet upon me,
and fill me bit by bit
until the emptiness was gone
and the bucket felt it’s purpose–
overflowed with joy and words again.

I love how you get more comments on a wordless post than I get in a week of rambling.
It’s good to be loved.
