I Hear You

Two messages were delivered to me today. Loud & clear. Universe? I am listening.

“To know love we must do more than understand, we must land and enter. Before we step, the gap to others seems like a canyon. But stepping anyway, the separations we move through look so much smaller once crossed. Often the thing feared, once crossed, turns out to be an unexpected bridge from which we can see who we were and who we are becoming.” -Mark Nepo, The Book of Awakening

“Many of the most wonderful experiences we can have in the course of human existence require us to wait before achieving gratification. Patience is hailed as a virtue precisely because it provides us with access to what cannot be enjoyed without first proving our staying power. When we are willing to wait so that we may determine how best to proceed, we are less apt to rush through decisions that will have an impact on the quality of our lives. Challenges that might otherwise test our endurance pose no difficulties because we are more interested in bringing about a positive conclusion than courting a speedy one. Our tolerance and persistence see us through, allowing us to make the most of the time we have. Stress caused by personal issues will not influence your resolve today because you understand the importance of patience.” -Daily Om

“All the promises we make from the cradle to the grave when all I want is you” -All I Want Is You, U2
